The Summit for a New Global Financing Pact was held in Paris on 22 and 23 June 2023. It brought together some forty heads of state and government, around a hundred countries, representatives of international financial organisations and institutions, and more than 120 NGOs.

Summit for a New Global Financing Pact
80 years after the Bretton Woods conference, it is high time to reform the international financial system. On the initiative of the President of the Republic, France is hosting more than 300 heads of state and government, international organisations and representatives of the private sector and civil society on 22 and 23 June 2023. The aim of this meeting is to lay the foundations for a new financial system to meet the common challenges of the 21st century: the fight against inequality, climate change and the protection of biodiversity.

MCM 2023 reinforces the OECD’s global reach and commitment to shared values
The OECD Ministerial Council Meeting (MCM) 2023 was an opportunity to strongly reaffirm France’s commitment to effective multilateralism and shared values. This high-level event, organised under the chairmanship of the United Kingdom and the vice-chairmanship of Costa Rica and New Zealand, addressed major issues such as gender equality, Ukraine, the green and digital transitions, development and the OECD’s global partnerships.

Latin American Economic Outlook 2022 - Towards a just and green transition
On 22 February 2023, the "Latin American Economic Outlook 2022 - Towards a just and green transition" was presented at the Maison de l’Amérique Latine in Paris. Each edition provides an analysis of the socio-economic situation and considers the future challenges and opportunities for the region, which stretches from Mexico and the Caribbean islands to Argentina and Chile. The 2022 Outlook calls for the ecological transition to become a springboard for strengthening the region’s economic and social development, by speeding up adaptation policies in the face of the risks created by climate change, the effects of which are already being severely felt.

Ministerial meeting on 14 and 15 February 2023: Responsible Business Conduct (RBC)
On 14 and 15 February 2023, the Ministerial Meeting on Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) was held at the OECD, which France had the honour of co-chairing with the United States. This second ministerial meeting on RBC since 2014 successfully resulted in the adoption of the Ministerial Declaration on Promoting and Supporting RBC in the Global Economy and the highlighting of the OECD’s new recommendation on the role of governments in promoting RBC.
